EMotIon Sciences develops a CMOS/ISFET-based platform that images extracellular ions - pH, potassium, sodium, calcium - across living cells, organoids, and tissue slices, label-free and in real time. Our instruments give researchers a direct view of the physiology that conventional readouts miss.

Founded in 2026 and based at BioLabs LA in Torrance, California, we build on more than a decade of sensor research from the Sawada Laboratory at Toyohashi University of Technology. We provide instruments and analysis software to research partners in the US and Japan, from drug discovery companies to academic labs.
